Beltane (or in Gaelic) Bealtaine - pronounced ‘be-al-ten-uh’ - 30 April to 1 May, or the first full moon after the hawthorn tree flowers, translates as ‘bright fire’ and is the peak of spring. 🌿
Beltane has long been celebrated as part of ancient Celtic and Pagan rituals. Sometimes now known as May Day, many towns and villages have their own traditions at this time, such as the Maypole dance or the Obby Oss parade in Padstow, Cornwall. The meeting of the Oak King 🧝and the May Queen🧝♂️, this is said to be a time of great fertility. Romantic couples may have handfastening ceremonies and of course, this is also known as ‘wedding season’.
Linked to abundance, this is a time to really notice what brings you joy… and do more if it! 🌸 For me, that’s remembering to exercise outdoors (as a Gemini-Air sign I love the sense of freedom that brings), and to sit in the garden amongst all the tree blossom, and let it fall in my hair! 🧚🏻♀️
Astrologically we are in Taurus ♉️ season which is earthy and grounding. There is fertility all around us. Things are growing, things are changing - not just plants 🪴… us too! The upward rising energies can be strong, and some might feel this as wanting to push and push, but instead… take focused action steps and live in hopeful expectation that what you want is already on its way! 😌
This is a good time to:
🔸walk in nature and notice the abundance of leaves, buds and blossoms all around you.
🔸make a list of all the wealth and abundance in your life, not necessarily linked to money.
🔸choose one thing you want to bring into your life and every evening and morning, think about it, imagining it’s already here.
Summer is coming… 🌼
